$32M Lost: Three Ethereum Bridges Hit by Security Incidents

A series of security incidents has hit three Ethereum bridges in recent days, resulting in losses totaling $31.7 million.

The first incident occurred on July 22 at around 21:30 UTC when AFX lost 24.15M USDC after a social engineering attack spread from its development environment into build and validator systems.

In the hours that followed, Verus paid out $7.54 million in unbacked assets after approving eight withdrawals without proof of matching reserves.
