$40 Million Invested in Yellow Card's Stablecoin-Powered Payment Infrastructure
Yellow Card has secured $40 million in funding from SC Ventures and other prominent investors to expand its stablecoin-powered payment infrastructure. This investment will support the growth of Yellow Card's global USD accounts, enabling businesses to hold US dollars, manage and swap stablecoins, and handle treasury operations from a single account.
The fintech company has established partnerships with major financial and technology companies, including Mastercard, Coinbase, and PayPal, and currently holds licenses in over 20 countries across Africa, Europe, and North America. The new funding will enable Yellow Card to collect and disburse local currencies through domestic payment rails across more than 50 countries.
Yellow Card CEO Chris Maurice stated that the investment is a vote of confidence in the company's infrastructure for global businesses, allowing them to move money without a traditional correspondent banking system. He also noted that the bigger opportunity now is connecting banks themselves to stablecoin rails.
