40k ETH Mover Shifts $78M from Aave to Bitfinex

A significant Ethereum (ETH) transfer has taken place, with 40,000 ETH being moved from Aave to Bitfinex for approximately $78.7 million.

This is not an isolated event, as a similar transfer occurred on April 23, 2026, where 30,000 ETH worth around $69.8 million at the time was sent from Aave to Bitfinex.

Aave is a decentralized lending and borrowing protocol, and whales often deposit ETH into it to borrow stablecoins or earn yield by lending it out.

The transfer of 40,000 ETH has sparked interest in the crypto market, as it typically signals one of several possible actions: a planned sale, an over-the-counter trade, or a broader repositioning of the whale's portfolio.
