$4.2 Million in Funds Frozen Amid HTX Transfer Controversy

Kraken has frozen over $4.2 million in user funds due to suspicious HTX-linked transfers, but it remains unclear who actually initiated the transactions.

The incident occurred on August 18th, with some users allegedly attempting to protect or recover their assets by labeling small USDT transfers from HTX-related wallets as 'HTX.'

However, HTX has denied any involvement in the unexplained deposits, stating that its internal records show no evidence of such activity.

A Kraken user group has been created to unite affected users and gather data on frozen funds, with the aim of pressuring the exchange to address the issue.
