$52.5M Pantera-led Funding Round Fuels World's Identity Verification Ambitions
A round of funding led by Pantera Capital has raised $52.5 million for World's WLD token sale.
The investment is part of a larger effort to scale up World ID, an identity verification system that uses biometric data and zero-knowledge proofs.
The need for reliable human checks in the age of AI development has become increasingly clear, according to Cosmo Jiang, general partner at Pantera Capital.
The WLD tokens sold as part of this round are intended for use within World Network and do not represent investment interest or rights to profits or returns, World's foundation said.
