A security breach has compromised WEMIX's $WEMIX stablecoin contract, allowing hackers to print approximately 5.23 million tokens out of thin air.

The unauthorized minting occurred on July 26 at 09:17 UTC after the ownership of a related contract was compromised.

WEMIX has suspended bridges, liquidity pools, and several services on its WEMIX3.0 network in response to the breach.

The company's preliminary incident update does not disclose the exact route by which the control was compromised or the final impact on users.
