$600K Stolen from Avici Users in Widespread Phishing Campaign

Avici neobank has been hit by a series of phishing attacks that have drained over $600,000 from user accounts. The platform, built on the Solana blockchain, does not hold user funds but instead offers Visa spend cards and virtual bank accounts. However, users are still vulnerable to scams when connecting their wallets to web interfaces.

The phishing sites, including getavici.today and lured users into connecting their crypto wallets under the pretense of claiming airdrops or accessing platform features. Once connected, drainer malware quietly swept funds from those wallets.

Avici has not disclosed any internal breach, but its model creates a specific risk profile due to user behavior. The neobank's users are comfortable connecting wallets to web interfaces, which scammers are weaponizing. Airdrop announcements distributed through unofficial channels should be assumed fraudulent until proven otherwise through Avici’s verified official accounts.
