$60M Exit Claim Leaves No Trace for Early Monad Investors

Share

Crypto Daily recently reported on an unsubstantiated claim of a $60 million cash exit by early investors in Monad (MON), which has left experts scratching their heads. The review found no official announcement, Coinbase disclosure, or launch coverage that documented this alleged exit.

The public sale of MON offered up to 7.5 billion tokens at $0.025 each, with an implied fully diluted valuation of $2.5 billion. According to the Coinbase disclosure, about 19.7 billion MON were allocated to investors under a four-year lockup, starting from the mainnet launch on Nov. 24, 2025.

The vesting schedule for investor tokens has been disclosed, showing a one-year cliff followed by equal monthly unlocks over the remaining three years. There is no evidence of a company-initiated tender or buyback that would have facilitated a $60 million cash exit for early investors.
