$7 Billion Invested in DeFi Sees Only 1% Utilization Rate
The tokenized funds on Wall Street have poured $7 billion into DeFi protocols, but only about 1% of that value is being used in decentralized finance applications.
According to a recent analysis by DeFiLlama, the total real-world asset (RWA) active market cap stands at $33.9 billion and on-chain market cap at $36.7 billion.
Despite this, only about 11.7% of the active RWA value is being utilized in DeFi protocols, with a significant portion sitting idle.
The largest tokenized funds, including BlackRock's BUIDL and Circle's USYC, have low utilization rates of around 0.67% and 1.05%, respectively.
