$75M Annual Cap Proposed for Crypto Presales Amid Apeing's Own Pre-Launch Plans

Share

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has proposed a $75 million annual cap for cryptocurrency presales under Regulation Crypto Assets. This proposal, announced on August 18, is still in the consultation phase, with comments due by October 20.

Apeing, a project building around meme culture and community engagement, has stated its own pre-launch numbers. The project lists a $0.0001 Stage 1 price and says its whitelist exceeds 12,000 registrations. Its materials state a $0.01 listing target, producing a promotional 100x price span; neither the target nor the arithmetic is a forecast.

Apeing says it is planning audits before launch and expects to hold a presale around early September. The project's information can be found on its official website, which also provides details on how to join the whitelist.
