$75M Cronos Exploit Shakes Ethereum Price Prediction Models
Tectonic, a decentralized finance (DeFi) platform, suffered a significant exploit on the Cronos Network, resulting in a loss of $75 million. The attacker has already moved $6.29 million to Ethereum and converted it into 2,592 ETH. A substantial amount of $68.7 million remains frozen on the paused chain.
The price action on the four-hour chart shows that Ethereum (ETH) is trading at $2421.45, narrowly hugging the EMA50 resistance at $2421.89. The overall market structure appears bearish, with the MACD death cross at -2.93 and a neutral RSI of 41.83.
As a result of this liquidity shock, ETH price prediction models now take into account not only the ongoing security breach concerns but also the broader crypto market crash fears. Any potential test of the upper Bollinger resistance at $2516.9 may lead to selling pressure and a subsequent retracement toward lower band support at $2403.91.
