$9.3M Exploit Rocks More Markets on Flow EVM
More Markets, a non-custodial lending market on Flow EVM, was exploited on August 31, resulting in the loss of 15.5 million Wrapped Flow (WFLOW).
The security firm Blockaid traced the exploit and estimated its initial impact at $9.3 million. The attacker combined an Ankr bonded liquid staking token with the protocol's Efficient Mode setting to drain the mFlowWFLOW reserve.
Blockaid published the exploit transaction, contract deployment, and 11 follow-up transfers, naming the attacker address and helper wallet. The affected pool was also identified.
The attack occurred at a time when crypto protocols are facing increased security risks. August saw 37 hacks totaling roughly $140 million, with lending protocols accounting for the bulk of that figure.
