A Simi Valley man has been accused of stealing $97,000 in cryptocurrency from an elderly neighbor. According to authorities, the 26-year-old suspect befriended the 89-year-old victim at a local senior gathering.

The investigation revealed that the suspect was introduced to the victim through a mutual contact, and over time, gained the trust of his elderly neighbor.
