Aave, a major decentralized lending protocol, is proposing to exit six low-use blockchains due to their unprofitable nature. The affected chains are Sonic, Scroll, zkSync, Metis, Soneium, and Aptos, which generate less than $5,000 in quarterly revenue each.

This move aims to reduce costs and risks by freezing new activity on these chains and making borrowing expensive to encourage users to exit voluntarily. The decision is part of Aave's broader strategy to focus on more profitable markets and improve financial sustainability.
