Aave has announced it will deprecate 50 low-adoption asset reserves across its multiple deployments as part of a comprehensive risk review.

The move is aimed at concentrating resources on higher-adoption assets and reducing technical risks, according to Aave's founder Stani Kulechov.

Alongside this change, the protocol will orderly wind down its deployments on six chains: Sonic, Scroll, zkSync, Metis, Soneium, and Aptos, which affect another 25 asset reserves.
