Aave Cleans Up Low-Use Reserves, Retires Six Smaller Deployments
Aave is undertaking its largest cleanup effort to date, proposing the removal of dozens of low-adoption reserves and the full retirement of six smaller blockchain deployments.
The governance initiative, introduced by Aave founder Stani Kulechov, aims to affect about $98.1 million in supplied assets and $15.6 million in outstanding debt across the protocol.
The cleanup effort follows a comprehensive review under Aave's new risk framework, which was introduced after the $292 million KelpDAO exploit.
