Aave Dominates On-Chain Loans with 47.8% Share
Aave's on-chain lending protocol has seen significant growth in recent months, according to data from Token Terminal. The platform now controls 47.8% of active on-chain loans, surpassing previous records set in January and September. This growth is attributed to the increasing number of customers participating in DeFi protocols, with Aave becoming a trusted platform for lending.
Aave's market share has surpassed that of other popular on-chain lending platforms, including Morpho, SparkLend, Fluid Lending, and Maple Finance. The protocol's convenience and flexibility have contributed to its growing popularity among institutional and retail participants. As a result, the AAVE token has seen significant price jumps, with a 2.1% and 11.2% increase over the past week and month, respectively.
The rising demand for loans on Aave's platform is driving growth in the DeFi lending sector. With active loans across various DeFi lending protocols currently standing at $23 billion, it appears that the protocol's increasing user confidence has translated into a significant uptrend structure.
