Aave Founder Opposes 50% Cap on Ethereum Staking Incentives
Aave founder Stani Kulechov has publicly opposed a governance proposal to cap Ethereum staking incentives at 50% of the total supply.
The proposal, which surfaced within Aave's governance forum, suggested limiting the amount of staked ETH that could be incentivized through the protocol. Proponents argued that excessive staking incentives could concentrate control and create systemic risks for the network.
Kulechov pushed back, stating that artificially capping staking incentives could discourage participation and weaken Ethereum's decentralization. He emphasized that Aave's role is to remain neutral and not impose arbitrary limits on user behavior.
