Aave Founder Predicts DeFi Disappearance in Five Years

Aave founder Stani Kulechov believes that DeFi will eventually disappear in five years. According to him, smart contracts have already replaced back-office functions at scale, having processed over $3 trillion through the protocol alone.

Kulechov pointed out that Aave's protocol revenue milestones reached nearly $150 million in net revenue last year, with liquidations clearing transparently during the downturn. This demonstrates that the machinery runs regardless of market cycles and accelerates on-chain finance evolution.

Ethereum (ETH) price action shows a bullish trend, with the 4h chart indicating testing of the upper Bollinger Band resistance at $1933.67. However, a healthy pullback toward the EMA50 support at $1889.11 seems probable before any extension higher.
