Aave Prepares to Shut Down Inactive Crypto Reserves Worth $98.1 Million
Aave has proposed removing numerous little-used reserves from its platform, which would involve approximately $98.1 million in deposited assets and $15.6 million in debt.
The proposal aims to reduce risks and maintenance costs associated with markets that have become unprofitable.
A total of 50 reserves showing limited adoption are targeted for removal, as well as 21 matured Pendle Principal Tokens.
The affected reserves are spread across 11 Aave V3 deployments, representing about $85.3 million in supplied assets and $11.5 million in debt.
