Aave Sees 2.1 Million Daily Revenue Boost Amid Market Turmoil
Aave's decentralized finance (DeFi) lending platform has seen a significant surge in daily revenue, reaching $2.1 million after a wave of loan liquidations.
The increase is largely attributed to liquidation fees collected during the recent market downturn, with Stani Kulechov, Aave's founder, highlighting the platform's resilience across 14 active markets on various L1s and L2s.
Kulechov noted that Aave's Treasury was rewarded with $6 million in revenue overnight from decentralized liquidations, which is based on projections from early Monday morning.
The majority of this revenue came from Aave's v3 deployment on Ethereum, accumulating $1.25 million in liquidation fees on August 6 alone.
