Aave Sees 3.2% Price Surge on Revenue-Sharing Narrative and Integrations
Aave (AAVE) has seen a 3.2% price increase over the last 32 hours, driven by its revenue-sharing narrative and new integrations.
The market values 'revenue tokens' in DeFi differently now, with Aave consistently cited as an example of this trend. The protocol's DAO has bought back over 205,000 AAVE using approximately $42 million of protocol revenue, and the team is designing a system to automate future buybacks.
As part of its 'Aave Will Win' framework, 100% of Aave Protocol and GHO stablecoin revenue is directed towards buying back AAVE. This has led to tokens like AAVE being considered underpriced, with investors potentially seeing valuations 'at least double' as they internalize this revenue-driven model.
New integrations such as Ether.fi's 'Summer release', which turned its app into a more bank-like front end and added an Aave-powered lending market on Optimism, have strengthened Aave's fundamental story. Pendle also recently added two new PT looping pools to its incentives program, including one related to AAVE.
