Aave Slashes Support for Low-Adoption Assets, Exits Six Blockchain Networks
Aave, a decentralized lending protocol, is retreating from 75 low-adoption asset markets and six blockchain networks to reduce risk and focus on its most active markets.
This move, part of Aave's new Risk Framework, aims to improve security and operational efficiency by concentrating liquidity on higher-usage markets.
The protocol will shut down deployments on Sonic, Scroll, zkSync, Metis, Soneium, and Aptos, affecting around $98 million in assets supplied and $15.6 million in outstanding debt.
