Aave Takes Control with Self-Owned Risk Oracle

Aave protocol has taken a significant step towards decentralization by introducing its own risk oracle, powered by Chainlink. According to Stani Kulechov, founder and CEO of Aava (previously Aave), this update marks an increase in control over the DeFi ecosystem's risk infrastructure.

Kulechov had previously expressed concerns about EIP-8361, which faced resistance from the Ethereum community. He warned that solo stakers could leave the network if the proposal advanced further.

The introduction of Aave's self-owned risk oracle is a response to these governance and risk issues. This move highlights the protocol's commitment to decentralization and its efforts to address potential challenges within the DeFi space.
