Aave Token Soars as Protocol Cuts Underperforming Assets
Aave's token price has hit $97.47, reaching its highest value since the announcement of a strategic consolidation initiative by the protocol's founder, Stani Kulechov. This move comes after Aave revealed plans to discontinue 50 underperforming asset reserves following a comprehensive market analysis.
The optimization initiative affects $98.1 million in total assets, with $15.6 million in active loans. As part of this process, the decentralized lending platform will withdraw deployments from Sonic, Scroll, zkSync, and Aptos networks, which covers another 25 asset reserves distributed across these four blockchain ecosystems.
The AAVE token maintains its position above critical technical floors, including the 50-period EMA at $96.56, the 100-period EMA at $95.00, and the 200-period EMA at $91.95. Market participants must drive AAVE beyond $97.63 to reinforce the bullish trajectory, with $98.50 representing the subsequent objective.
