Aave Token Surges Above $100 Amid Regulatory Hopes
Aave's token, $AAVE, has broken through the $100 barrier and is now trading near $100.52 after gaining nearly 12% in the past week.
The recent surge follows several days of uneven trading between roughly $91 and $98, with AAVE founder Stani Kulechov attributing the move to regulatory expectations.
Kulechov stated that the protocol's team had spent much of the past year meeting lawmakers in Washington, D.C., over the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, which aims to provide clarity on cryptocurrency regulations.
The Senate's limited legislative window has added urgency to the discussions, and a vote is expected before lawmakers leave for recess.
Aave's governance framework has also played a role in the token's recovery, with part of the revenue generated by lending activity being used to purchase $AAVE from the market through token buybacks and treasury distributions.
