Aave Withdraws from Six Networks, Delists $98 Million in Assets
Aave, the largest lending platform in the cryptocurrency world, has initiated a withdrawal process from six networks to mitigate risks and optimize efficiency. According to its founder, Stani Kulechov, this move aims to minimize technical risks and increase platform security.
The affected networks include Scroll, zkSync, Sonic, Metis, Soneium, and Aptos. Aave will also delist 50 asset reserves with low usage rates and 21 expired Pendle principal tokens, affecting a total supply worth $98.1 million and debt amounting to $15.6 million.
This operation is being carried out under the platform's new Risk Framework and Technical Asset Listing Framework. With a total value locked (TVL) of approximately $14.3 billion and operations across 23 different blockchains, Aave prioritizes economic sustainability with this move.
