Aave's Price Surges 3.26% on V4 Adoption and DeFi Lending Growth
Aave's price surged 3.26% in the last ~13 hours due to strong fundamentals and adoption of its V4 protocol.
V4 launched on Ethereum mainnet in March 2026 with a new 'hub and spoke' Liquidity Hub architecture, improving capital efficiency and allowing rapid launch of new markets without fragmenting liquidity.
Recent data shows that V4 deposits jumped over 30% week over week to about $806 million, with EtherFi Cash contributing roughly $257 million of deposits into one of the largest V4 markets.
The DeFi lending cycle is turning up again, with Aave at the center. Sector-wide data circulating on X shows that DeFi active loans climbed to about $26.1 billion in August, up roughly 30% from June, with Aave responsible for about $12.5 billion of that, nearly 48% market share.
Aave is becoming the backend for consumer and fintech credit products, expanding into tokenized funds and RWA collateral, which is underpinning the modest but persistent bid in the last 13 hours.
