Abu Dhabi Royals Back Proposed US Crypto Bank
Abu Dhabi's Royal Family Plays Key Role in Proposed US Crypto Bank
A proposed crypto bank, World Liberty Financial, has received backing from Abu Dhabi's royal family. StringZ Holding RSC, a company owned by Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan's group, holds 49% of WLTC Holdings, the parent company behind the proposed bank.
Sheikh Tahnoon is also associated with G42, an AI firm where he serves as national security advisor. His business interests have been growing more intertwined with the US, particularly after a November 2025 agreement between Washington and Abu Dhabi allowed for the export of AI chips to G42.
