Account Abstraction Scheduled for Ethereum's Hegotá Upgrade
Ethereum developers have finalized plans to bring Account Abstraction (AA) to the network in the upcoming Hegotá upgrade. The decision is a significant step towards making Ethereum wallets more programmable and user-friendly.
The current proposal, EIP-8141, treats transactions as programmable instructions, giving users greater flexibility over how they manage transactions. However, its final design remains under debate among developers.
An alternative proposal, EIP-8130, has emerged as a possible solution for the network's Layer 2 chains. This proposal uses a stricter, predefined structure to verify gas payments upfront, making it more efficient and safer for high-throughput networks.
