ADA Plummets as Cardano Outlines Dijkstra Upgrade Roadmap
Cardano's ADA token slipped to $0.17 as the project outlined its roadmap for the upcoming Dijkstra upgrade, a two-phase plan aimed at improving the network's speed and security.
The first phase, scheduled to be completed by Q4 2026, will introduce Linear Leios, which increases the number of blocks Cardano can process, and nested transactions, designed to help developers build more flexible applications on top of the network.
The second phase, planned for Q2 2027, will bring Peras, a feature aimed at achieving faster transaction confirmation.
Despite the upgrade plan, ADA's price has lost most of its gains since reaching $0.20 earlier this month and is now trading near $0.174, almost 14% below its August peak.
