ADA Price Holds Steady as DEX Trading Surge Fades
Cardano's price has held steady above $0.21 despite a sharp decline in activity on its decentralized exchanges (DEX). The recent trading surge, which saw daily volumes reach $56 million on August 22, has fizzled out with volumes now back to around $1 million, according to data from DeFiLlama.
This significant drop in volume represents a 98% decline from the peak, but it's not necessarily a sign of normal trading activity collapsing. In fact, daily volumes had been below $5 million for most of the summer before the recent spike.
The price of ADA has also cooled off, falling from its recent high near $0.258 to around $0.2158 at the time of writing, up 1.61% during the session.
While the current trend suggests that buyers may be losing momentum, there are still signs that the price is holding up better than expected, with a key support level emerging between $0.208 and $0.20.
