$ADA Quiet Rally: Cardano Surges Ahead of Peers Despite Low Retail Interest
Cardano ($ADA) has emerged as one of the top-performing cryptocurrencies in recent days, despite Bitcoin's sideways movement. According to data from Santiment, Cardano's price has risen by 25% over the past week, reaching a high of $0.195 for the first time since July 4th. This impressive gain puts Cardano ahead of other top 100 crypto assets by market capitalization.
However, on-chain data reveals that individual investors have not yet returned to the market in force, despite the price increase. In fact, Santiment's analysis shows a decrease of 7,070 wallets with a non-zero balance on the Cardano network compared to two months ago.
This suggests that larger investors or institutional buyers are absorbing selling pressure and supporting the rise in $ADA. The analysts at Santiment note that retail investor interest has not yet fully followed the current rally, implying that many investors are still unaware of Cardano's surge.
The rise in Cardano's price is attributed to several factors, including technical advancements on its network. The Leios testnet work continues, and progress has been made on the Hydra scaling solution. Additionally, Mithril upgrades, Pyth Network integration, and a new funding round under Project Catalyst are contributing to the ecosystem's growth.
