ADP Jobs Report Misses Big: 44,000 Private Sector Jobs Added in July

Share

The US labor market has sent an uncomfortable signal after the latest ADP National Employment Report revealed a sluggish private sector. According to the report, just 44,000 jobs were added in July, falling short of economists' expectations of 68,000 to 70,000 new positions.

This represents the lowest monthly gain in six months and marks a significant drop from June's revised figure of 95,000 new jobs. The services sector managed to add 47,000 jobs, while goods-producing industries shed 3,000 positions.

The preliminary NER Pulse showed an average of just 16,500 jobs added per week over the four weeks ending July 4. This data is significant for crypto traders as it indicates a cooling labor market, which could lead to lower interest rates and increased liquidity in the crypto market.
