AI Agents Bring Tokenized Economy to Solana

Virtuals Protocol has taken its AI-agent tokenization system to Solana, linking agents to tradable tokens and wallets that support payments and on-chain transactions.

The Automated Capital Formation (ACF) mechanism has raised over $6.8 million for agents as of August 24, according to Virtuals Protocol.

The system allows users to create tokens associated with AI agents and connect them to wallets and other on-chain services.

Depending on the configuration, an agent can receive payments, pay for services, interact with other applications, and conduct transactions through its wallet.

However, this raises questions around security, liability, and accountability, as well as the distinction between economic ownership and operational control.
