AI Agents Revolutionize Payments with Continuous Transactions
The rise of AI agents in commerce is creating new opportunities for payment and settlement. According to research, between May 2025 and April 2026, AI agents completed over 176 million on-chain transactions worth more than $73 million.
These transactions were mostly small, with a median value of between $0.01 and $0.10, and 76% fell below the $0.30 fixed-fee threshold for card payments.
