AI Agents Rolled Out Across Top Universities in US and UK

Fetch.ai has been quietly rolling out custom AI agents across top US and UK universities as part of its broader education strategy. The company's Innovation Lab has built autonomous tools to help students navigate campus life, including Welcome Week AI Agents at San José State University and a Scavenger Hunt bot at California State University, Long Beach.

The university deployments are designed to get students physically moving around campus while engaging with the AI system. Fetch.ai used its own technical stack, including uAgents framework, Agentverse platform, and ASI:One, to create the agents that can operate independently and execute tasks without human oversight.

Fetch.ai's Innovation Lab has been running educational outreach programs at a roster of institutions, including UCLA, UC San Diego, UC Berkeley, Stanford in the US, and Imperial College London and the University of Cambridge in the UK. The company awarded $100,000 to UCLA specifically to enhance AI research capabilities on campus.

The university push has an additional layer of strategic logic for Fetch.ai, which originated in the crypto and decentralized AI space. By putting tools into the hands of computer science students at top-tier schools, the company is building a pipeline of developers who understand autonomous agent architecture before they even hit the job market.
