AI-Driven Dispute Resolution System Unveiled by GenLayer Labs
GenLayer Labs has unveiled its Internet Court, a blockchain-based adjudication system designed to resolve disputes between autonomous AI agents at machine speed. The protocol currently has around 70 professional validators active, with architecture designed to support up to 1,500.
The Internet Court operates as an 'adjudication layer,' a blockchain protocol built specifically for the emerging world of agentic commerce. It starts each dispute by randomly selecting a panel of 5 AI validators, each running a different large language model. If the case needs more scrutiny, the panel can scale up to roughly 1,000 validators to reach majority consensus.
The system uses what it calls Optimistic Democracy, which assumes most transactions are legitimate and only spins up the full adjudication process when a claim is challenged. The 'democracy' part is the voting among independent AI models, which helps prevent any single model's biases from dictating outcomes.
