AI-Driven Privacy Concerns Boost Case for Zcash
Grayscale's Head of Research, Zach Pandl, believes that artificial intelligence (AI) will create new privacy threats and drive demand for solutions like Zcash. The firm thinks a third wave of concern over financial privacy has begun with the increasing use of AI, similar to previous waves in the 1970s and 1990s.
AI tools may make blockchain address labeling more effective, which could increase the risk of de-anonymization on public blockchains like Bitcoin. Unlike Bitcoin, Zcash offers additional privacy features through shielded transactions using zero-knowledge cryptography.
Grayscale thinks these features could become a 'must-have' for users prioritizing financial privacy and that Zcash's current valuation may not fully reflect its advantages.
