AI ETFs Dominating Wall Street's Crypto Bet
JPMorgan Asset Management released a comprehensive report on ETFs and their role in maintaining market liquidity. The firm found that AI-themed ETFs led inflows among all sectors in 2026, with an AUM of about $67 billion.
Despite the underperformance of AI-themed ETFs in the second quarter of the year, investors are betting heavily on them, according to JPMorgan's chief ETF strategist Jon Maier. 'Many [themes] are morphing towards AI and the ecosystem surrounding AI,' he said.
The report also noted that ETFs provide more liquidity to markets than initially apparent, with 28% of total exchange volume in the US coming from long-term ETFs in some periods of high volatility, rising as high as nearly 50%.
