AI-Powered Security Campaign Unearths Thousands of Bitcoin Project Flaws
A coordinated effort by security researchers and AI tools uncovered nearly 5,000 software issues across hundreds of open-source projects in about 30 hours.
The team, led by developer Calle, combined human expertise with artificial intelligence to identify software weaknesses.
They reported 4,962 findings across 390 Bitcoin-related projects during the campaign, including 85 critical issues and 635 high-severity findings.
The researchers used different prompts and methods to uncover weaknesses that a single approach might have missed, averaging about 166 reported findings every hour throughout the review.
