AI Revenue Surges as Miners Repurpose Infrastructure
TeraWulf's high-performance computing services have nearly doubled its revenue from Bitcoin mining in the first quarter, with $21 million generated from AI tasks and $13 million from digital asset mining. This comes as the company continues to repurpose outdated infrastructure for more valuable tasks.
The miner reported a net loss of $427.6 million in Q1, due to increased operating expenses, depreciation, and higher interest payments. Its total assets stood at approximately $7 billion, with liabilities exceeding this figure by $77.6 million.
Meanwhile, IREN has announced a strategic partnership with NVIDIA to provide cloud services for high-performance computing, valued at around $3.4 billion until 2032. The company aims to repurpose its infrastructure from Bitcoin mining to AI and expects continued revenue growth under the Microsoft contract.
