AI Sector Cools Down, But Some Projects Defy the Trend
The AI sector experienced a slight downturn this week, with most prominent AI tokens in the red. However, some projects managed to buck the trend.
Among them was Siren (SIREN), which surged 283.9% in the past week, knocking Near Protocol (NEAR) out of the #2 position. Its wild decentralized feats, such as training a massive model across 70+ nodes, caught traders' attention and fueled bullish calls.
Traders eyed $500 as an immediate breakout target for Bittensor (TAO), with some predicting a potential target of ~$2,800 if it manages to pull off a full Fibonacci extension. Finance Freeman highlighted lesser targets of ~$1,150, $1,773, and $2,394.
However, Siren's rapid growth has also sparked controversy over alleged rugs and cartel mechanics. Some accused DWF Labs of accumulating over $500,000 worth of the token in May 2025, with up to 88.5% of the supply potentially controlled by a single entity.
