Coinkite Inc., a Canadian company behind the Coldcard Bitcoin wallet, has revealed that an artificial intelligence (AI) system failed to detect a software flaw exploited by hackers. The vulnerability was used to steal $130 million from users.

The hack occurred late last week, and Coinkite warned that it serves as a warning for companies building Bitcoin hardware and software. Firms using AI to monitor security-critical code should undertake immediate reviews, the company stated in a blog post on its website.
