Cognition AI and SpaceX's AI arm have made significant hires from Coinbase Global. Paul Grewal, former top lawyer at Coinbase, has joined Cognition as its chief legal and global affairs officer. This move comes as both companies prepare for potential federal regulatory oversight of their AI models.
Grewal was valued at roughly $26 billion following a $1 billion fundraising in May this year. Devin, the AI agent behind Cognition, has clients including the US government. Grewal announced his new job via social media on Monday.
