AIs Weigh in on Bitcoin's Recent Surge: Is Bull Run Finally Here?
The cryptocurrency market has once again proven its tendency to shift sentiment and narrative in short periods. Bitcoin's price, stuck below $65,000 for weeks, suddenly surged by 25% to nearly $80,000 on Friday, sparking questions about whether this marks the end of the bear market or just a temporary reprieve.
To gain more insight, three popular AI chatbots, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Grok, were consulted. OpenAI's platform was the most optimistic, suggesting that the bear market probably ended at the July low when BTC dropped below $58,000 for the first time since late 2024.
However, it also noted that there's no official confirmation yet, giving a 70% probability that $57,800 was the cycle bottom and a 30% chance that BTC's surge to $80,000 was an exceptionally violent bear-market rally. Gemini and Grok agreed to a large extent, but with some caveats.
While all three AIs brought up the mid-May rally that drove BTC to $83,000, they also warned that there are no guarantees that bitcoin won't follow the same fate and slump again. ChatGPT noted that the real test for the cryptocurrency is not yet over, and Grok added that BTC has to surge past the $85,000-$90,000 cluster before the bulls can declare victory.
Gemini warned that one aggressive move doesn't erase a multi-month downtrend and suggested that BTC would have to retain its recent gains and establish the upper $70,000 range as new support over the next month for the bear cycle to be confidently called over.
