Alderoty Presses Senators on CLARITY Act Amid Job Creation Estimates

Share

Ripple's Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty is urging senators to support the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act (CLARITY Act) ahead of a crucial Senate cloture vote on September 15.

Alderoty cites a modeled estimate that the crypto industry directly supports around 34,000 full-time-equivalent US positions and a broader total of 232,000 jobs nationwide. This figure comes from a study commissioned by the National Cryptocurrency Association (NCA), which applied multiplier effects across various industries.

The NCA's report projects that the crypto industry would contribute over $55Bn to the US gross domestic product in 2026 and generate average wages near $133,000 per worker. However, it is essential to note that these are modeled estimates rather than actual job counts or government statistics.
