Alderoty Touts CLARITY Act as Key to US Job Growth

Share

Ripple's Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty has urged U.S. senators to support the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act (CLARITY), citing its potential to promote employment and economic growth.

In a statement, Alderoty argued that passing the CLARITY Act would be 'a vote for jobs and economic growth.'

According to an NCA-commissioned study, crypto-related activity directly employs 34,000 workers and supports 232,000 jobs nationwide today.

The study estimates that crypto companies will contribute more than $55 billion to U.S. GDP during 2026 and project approximately $31 billion in worker income.

A Senate cloture vote on September 15 will determine whether lawmakers begin formally considering the CLARITY Act, which would establish federal definitions and registration rules for digital assets.
