Alderoty Urges Senate to Pass CLARITY Act for Job Creation and Economic Growth
Ripple's Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty is urging U.S. senators to support the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, arguing that it will boost job creation and economic growth in the country.
Alderoty points to a report commissioned by the National Cryptocurrency Association, which estimates that the U.S. crypto economy will have 232,000 total jobs in 2026, with an average salary of $133,000.
The report projects that crypto activity will contribute over $55 billion to the U.S. GDP in 2026 and generate about $31 billion in worker income.
Alderoty's argument is based on the assumption that more certainty at the federal level will lead to more economic growth, but critics argue that passing the Clarity Act does not necessarily guarantee job gains.
