$ALGO Price Eyes Key Support Amid Growing Real-World Asset Adoption
Algorand's token price has been stuck in a downward trend over the past two months, dropping by nearly 45% from its June peak to around $0.079. Despite this weakness, the network's real-world asset (RWA) ecosystem continues to expand into various industries, including fractional U.S. real estate and tokenized gold.
The technical picture for Algorand remains fragile, with the price stuck in the $0.078-$0.082 zone. This region has previously served as support, but buyers have yet to reclaim the $0.082-$0.087 range and hold it. The recent drop to $0.076 followed by an immediate rebound formed a long lower wick, which can be seen as a sign of short-term seller exhaustion.
However, one candle alone does not confirm a reversal. To improve the technical structure, buyers need to reclaim the mentioned range and hold it. Meanwhile, the RWA ecosystem continues to grow quietly, with Algorand supporting various assets such as renewable energy credits from Enel and carbon credits. This expansion is enabled by Algorand Standard Assets (ASAs), which allow for regulated features like transfer restrictions and freezing while maintaining low fees and fast settlement.
The disconnect between the growing ecosystem and token performance remains a concern. Structural issues, including validator rewards exceeding fee generation, continue to weigh on the price. Spot trading volume has also weakened, reinforcing bearish sentiment. The market is waiting for higher fee-generating usage to arrive before considering Algorand's RWA narrative as confirmed evidence of a sustained price reversal.
